Frenship ISD is working toward implementing a shared vision for innovative learning experiences in the classroom, including personalize learning and infusing the 4 Cs, collaboration, communication, curiosity and context.
In an effort to bridge the transition from vision into implementation, Frenship ISD partnered with e2L to facilitate a process where district innovators, comprised of curriculum, instruction, and professional development personnel, came together to design the Frenship ISD learning solution. While Frenship ISD has always been a good district, they wanted to develop a learning framework so they would have clarity of methods for the learner experience to allow all educators and learners to achieve excellence. The district also believed a learning framework centered on the e2L-Curated Best Practices would provide students an opportunity for autonomy and to contribute to the learning environment. The district is supporting teachers implementing the Frenship Learning Framework through training and coaching, so they can grow as designers of learning experiences. Using the Frenship Learning Framework, teachers will design learning experiences that challenge learners to use a variety of strategies for problem solving and curiosity that drives critical thinking and higher level questioning. The goal is that all students solve authentic problems using a variety of methods and they will be actively engaged in relevant, collaborative learning with the focus on application and communication of their learning.
