Alamo Heights ISD Case Study

Context

Alamo Heights ISD partnered with engage2learn in 2015. AHISD was in search of an innovative solution that would allow them to provide rich educational experiences in the classroom and realize their profile of a learner. While the district has always focused on excellence, AHISD wanted to prioritize Future Ready Skills and ensure students experienced engaging learning opportunities in every grade.

Implementation

In early 2016, Alamo Heights gathered a design team of district and campus leaders, curriculum staff, and teachers to collaborate on the design of their Blueprint for Learning. In the fall of 2016, the Responsible Rollout of the Blueprint began, and parents immediately began sharing with campus administrators how they recognized the impact on their students.

Results

Through implementation of the Blueprint, students continue to have opportunities to work together to create, think, and craft real solutions to local issues. e2L is supporting the initiative by training and coaching teachers on research-based best practices. We also coach on the e2L eGrowe coaching model for nurturing teacher and leader growth.
