Dawn brings 40 years of educational experience in the roles of teacher, technology specialist, and digital learning coordinator in the Killeen, Kermit, Denver City, and Irving school districts. She has a strong knowledge of technology, organization, instructional coaching, and supervision. She has respect from those she has worked with at the district and campus levels because of her experience in the classroom and with adult learners. She has an extensive reputation in innovation, collaboration, communication, and professional development. She also spent ten years traveling and training teachers throughout the United States in week-long Math Their Way workshops.
Her experiences have prepared her for this new opportunity to support Mitzi Clark Richardson, Culture Design Strategist. Her goals in this position are to provide a high level of support which includes knowledge of digital tools, resources, and best teaching practices and pedagogy.
She retired from public education in June 2018 but had a unique opportunity to present, develop and implement the logistics of Irving ISD’s district-wide curriculum project in 2018-2019 and now has another unique opportunity to join the e2L team.
She is a lifelong learner, a multi-generational collaborator and communicator, and she believes that the key to the success of any organization is to develop relationships with an emphasis on communication. She is excited to join a company whose “key cultural tenets” put words to her lifelong educational philosophy.
