Diana Kimberly joins Engage2learn with 31 years of experience in education. She began her career as an elementary school teacher from Pre-K through fifth grade. She also served as an ESL Coordinator for three elementary schools. She served as an elementary assistant principal for five years and then moved to the position of assistant principal at the high school level for four years.
Diana served as an elementary school principal for six years and then was promoted to principal at an Early College High School, which she served two years. As the Executive Director of Professional Development she was able to work with district leaders, principals and teachers to help coach and build the skills and instructional strategies needed for student achievement. All of her educational career has been in low socioeconomic, Title I schools where students did not always have everything they needed at home to learn. Diana has been very successful with her campus leadership teams in promoting student academic achievement by building relationships and showing students that their teachers care. Every student matters, no matter what.
Diana received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Masters from Prairie University. She has also completed her Superintendent Certification from Lamar University.
Diana has been a part of Leadership North Houston and a recipient of a grant to attend the Harvard Graduate School of Education from Raise Your Hand Texas. She continues to be part of the Raise Your Hand Texas alumni where she attends yearly legislative sessions and continues to speak out for public education.
