Rosalita Matar

Rosalita began her educational career as a High School Spanish teacher, a position she enjoyed for four years. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for literacy, which resulted in her
becoming ELAR certified, and teaching Pre AP English 1-4 and AP Lang.
 
Rosalita is passionate about the role technology plays in education. She was one of the first teacher’s in her district to flip her classroom when her campus became 1:1. She presented Blended classroom strategies at her district’s Ed Tech Convention and at her district’s Principal Conference.
 
Before she was a coach, she served as a lead curriculum writer for her district and also served as a member of the bilingual textbook committee. Rosalita also developed and led district and campus training on subjects ranging from literacy to English language learner support strategies in the classroom.
 
Rosalita’s most recent professional experience includes three years as an Instructional Coach at the Secondary level. She supports teachers with lesson planning, modeling instructional strategies, analyzing data and student work. She is dedicated to coaching and fostering a growth mindset.
