Teresa’s educational experience includes 20+ years in public school classrooms. She has taught English, history, and sheltered English for Limited English Proficient students in secondary schools. Teresa’s years in education also include post secondary oral and written communication in intensive English language instruction.
Beyond the classroom, Teresa developed a newcomer center program, written English curriculum, and social studies curriculum for ELL students, as well as innovative courses for the ESL high school program.
Her curriculum, instruction, and supervision leadership includes K-12 social studies director, K-12 ESL/bilingual director, and graduate preparatory curriculum coordinator.
With 30 years of experience in education, Teresa partners with teachers, district leaders, and coaches, using the e2L eGROWE coaching model. With this model, she is able to make a difference in improving their skills by asking reflective questions that broadens their mindset, helping them grow in best practices.
Teresa is passionate about coaching campuses and districts to design learning environments that empower students. Teresa has an aptitude for applying a variety of experiences to the current situation to better understand and solve challenges for clients.
