Blended Learning Grant Program

As an approved TEA technical assistant provider for the Blend Learning Grant Program (BLGP), engage2learn is ready to support you and your district through the process of engaging stakeholders to design your blended learning learner experience! We know students come to class with a variety of their own experiences and different levels of knowledge. Teachers must diagnose each student’s academic knowledge. This is no small feat, especially in a hybrid environment driven by the pandemic. Blended learning has been an integral part of ensuring student success.

engage2learn has been a BLGP Design and Implementation provider since MIZ/BLGP began with the first cohort designing and implementing blended learning in nearly 20 districts over the past two years. Our services focus on stakeholder engagement to ensure all have a voice in what is best for learning for their campus and students. Most importantly, campus leaders and teachers are left with the systems and processes necessary to diagnose mastery and differentiate plans for all students for onsite and remote instruction.

Our partnership with our BLGP districts are important to us! We ensure successful implementation through continuous support on the FOP template, standing meetings and our various included and customizable services that can be read about below.

Blended Learning Needs Assessment

Community Engagement

e2L will facilitate a locally-developed blended learning vision for all students in the Blended Learning Grant Program; one that truly represents the hopes and desires of the community. e2L uses a process, rooted in a foundation of design thinking and backward design, to ensure the greatest number of voices are heard. This process focuses the conversation on what the community of stakeholders desires for the learner, the necessary skills to achieve those hopes, and the type of blended learning experience necessary to develop those skills.

Blended Learning Strategic Design

The e2L team is nationally known for its process in bringing people together to design an actionable and measurable blended learning solution. The e2L team will facilitate a district determined Design Team of up to 40 key stakeholders to design all the elements of a blended learning innovation framework.  The design team can be composed of leadership from Central Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Coaches, along with campus administrators, teachers, students, and community members.  This process empowers district leaders to move forward in the same direction, with common language and understanding.  This unity allows for all involved to communicate more effectively, builds a sense of team, and ensures all decision-making is highly intentional and systematic, allowing for both innovation and achievement to prevail.

I can’t say thank you enough to engage2Learn for all of the guidance and support we had in the development and alignment of this framework …and I am excited to see how this learning experience positively impacts the future for all of our students at Uvalde CISD.

BLGP Strategic Design Action Plan

The Design Team will develop a blended learning strategic design action plan based on a set of shared community beliefs about learning from the community engagement input. While the Design Team is at work, they will review all data collected from the community engagement process, as well as additional district data to analyze current systems and achievements allowing for comprehensive goals.

Learning Innovation Framework (LIF)

In order to achieve a local vision for blended learning, a roadmap of behaviors is required. The framework will include components that ensure learners will have the classroom experience to thrive in today’s context, helping districts create a framework for blended learning.

Blended Learning Design Collaborative

e2L will host collaboratives where BLGP schools can come together to design systems to meet the Fidelity of Planning deliverables. The design work includes the development of launch plans for blended learning in new grade levels over time, professional development and growth plans,  data-driven instruction and curricular alignment action plans, and a vision of technology support.

  • Launch Plan for Blended Learning
  • Professional Development Plan
  • Data-Driven Instruction and Curricular Alignment
  • Vision for Technology Support
  • Fidelity of Planning Application

The e2L partnership has been a critical component in the successful implementation of the blended learning model adopted by LISD. With their guidance and continuous support, LISD is at the forefront of innovation, providing our students with opportunities to excel in the 21st century. LISD is using these innovative practices to rise to the next level! The learners in LISD will be well prepared for the future.

Professional Development Plan for Blended Learning

The PD Plan for Blended Learning service includes two programs: Blended Learning Trainer-of-Trainer (ToT) Academy and Blended Learning Leadership Academy.

Blended Learning ToT Academy

Throughout the ToT, e2L will facilitate a team of leaders to design teacher training to support the implementation of the blended learning initiative. The design of the training will include using the district’s newly designed Blended Learning Innovation Framework© and aligned e2L 12 Life Ready Best Practices© to create a training environment that is collaborative, authentic, challenging, autonomous, truly differentiated, and leads to measurable growth of the identified outcomes.

Blended Learning Leadership Academy

During a 2-day Leadership Academy, we provide leaders with the tools to facilitate the cultural shift necessary for growth. During the academy, e2L facilitators focus on the five ways leaders influence culture in a blended learning environment.

Almost 50 educators, including principals from other Spring ISD campuses and representatives from two other school districts, got to see first-hand what the Spring ISD’s Empowered Learning Model looks like in first and third-grade math classes at Beneke, Ponderosa and Reynolds elementary schools and in grades six through eight at Roberson Middle School.

Blended learning has had a great impact in the classroom. It has taken our students to another level of learning. The engagement component, along with the depth of knowledge that they are working at has positively impacted student learning and student success. The classroom flows smoothly as they learn, and students are having fun at the same time. In addition, the coaching process has also helped teachers take their content expertise to the next level. Teachers are becoming more of a facilitator in the learning process.
