Jill Thompson is the Vice President of Partnerships at engage2learn, where she partners with school and district leaders to reimagine education and shape the future of people, strategy, and change. She believes that lasting transformation happens when organizations invest in their people, align around a clear vision, and build the capacity to lead change with confidence.
Jill spent more than eight years serving students in public education before moving into district leadership. She taught grades K–5 at J.V. Washam and Paw Creek Elementary Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she also served on the administrative team, coached teachers, and led professional learning at both the school and district levels. It was during this time, working alongside educators every day, that she developed a deep appreciation for what teachers need to thrive and what leaders must do to create the conditions for meaningful, lasting improvement.
She later joined the central office at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools as Director of Personalized Digital Learning where she led the Personalized Learning from 15 schools to 170. Through that work, Jill experienced firsthand both the challenges and rewards of leading systemwide change, giving her a practical understanding of what it takes to move vision into action.
Before joining engage2learn, Jill served in several leadership roles at Education Elements, a K–12 consulting organization that became part of the engage2learn family in 2026. She partnered with districts across the country on strategic planning, personalized learning, leadership development, and school redesign while serving as a Partner, Managing Director of Services and South Regional Managing Partner. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, cultivating trusted partnerships, and helping districts achieve measurable results.
Today, as Vice President of Partnerships, Jill leads the teams responsible for new partnerships, renewals, and partner success across her territories. She works closely with executive leaders and district partners to ensure every engagement reflects engage2learn's commitment to meaningful, lasting impact, from the first conversation through implementation and beyond.
Jill is passionate about ensuring that educators have the support, systems, and leadership they need to positively impact students. She believes that when schools invest in people first, transformational outcomes for students naturally follow, and she is honored to partner with districts across the country as they build the future of education.
