Melanie has been a transformational leader for over 20 years and has a heart for improving outcomes for students in underserved communities. She has served as n elementary school teacher, campus instructional coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. Her love for teaching reading bloomed after becoming a certified reading specialist in Louisiana. Melanie's work has led her to be a part of turnaround campuses that were removed from failing status after one school year further driving her passion for excellence for all students.
