Dr. Steven Wurtz is an accomplished educational leader with more than 26 years of experience serving public education. He has served in a variety of leadership roles across both campus and district administration, including Interim Superintendent of Schools, leading strategic initiatives that advance student achievement, organizational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and commitment to innovation, Dr. Wurtz has partnered with educators, boards of trustees, and stakeholders to strengthen schools and expand meaningful opportunities for diverse learners. His experience spans the educational continuum from early childhood through post-secondary learning, including supporting multilingual learners, students with disabilities, gifted and talented students, and learners pursuing career and technical education pathways.
Guided by a commitment to equitable access and high-quality learning, he is passionate about developing high-performing teams, advancing instructional excellence, and fostering partnerships that both strengthen organizations and expand opportunities for students. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and brings a strategic, learner-centered approach to developing strong systems, empowering educators and creating lasting impact for students and communities.
