Raquel Bruce

Raquel is a teacher coach who helps move teachers toward mastering their craft by engaging them in the truth of the work and art of teaching. Raquel believes that respecting the student, honoring the work of teaching, and walking in your calling, you are assured of movement in the right direction and your path is paved with success. Raquel has supported teachers, students, parents, and community members in making education a collective endeavor that honors, involves, and evolves everyone. She believes that educating a nation’s citizenry is important and sacred work. Currently, she is working toward learning and embodying E2L’s cultural tenets and is eagerly looking forward to developing as a professional at Engage 2 Learn. Raquel holds certifications as a 48 generalist, 48 ELAR, and ESL. She has served as an ESL and STEM Program Coordinator, ELAR Department Head, and Mentor Teacher. Raquel holds a B.A. in English Lit. from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and an M. Ed in Educational Administration and Supervision from Depaul University in Chicago, Illinois. When she is not immersed in the work of supporting educators, Raquel can be found reading or watching all things science fiction, AfroFuturism, or Steam Punk. You will easily recognize her as she carries her Tardis disguised as a work bag. And it is indeed “bigger on the inside.”
