Travis Whisenant has been a public school educator in Texas for 27 years. During this time, he has served as a middle school and high school teacher and coach, curriculum coordinator, middle school principal, and assistant superintendent. Travis also served as Director of Leadership and Support for the Education Service Center Region 11 in White Settlement, TX overseeing teacher and administrator coaching, School Improvement, and School Board Training. In 2021, Travis was designated a "Lone Star Governance Coach" by the State of Texas to provide coaching and support to school governing teams. Travis' wife, April, is also an educator and currently serves as Director of Special Programs for ESC Region 11. April and Travis have two daughters, Abigail and Savannah, and enjoy time hiking, cooking, and attending football games at the University of Oklahoma (where Abigail attends).
