Sherri Smith is excited to join the Engage2Learn team. She has served in Dallas ISD and Duncanville ISD for 32 years as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, campus principal, and most recently as Director of Professional Development. In addition to ensuring quality professional learning for 800 teachers, she also collaborated on the development of a district curriculum management plan, including a strategic professional development plan focused on the alignment of the written, delivered, and assessed curriculum. As supervisor of the district’s eighteen instructional coaches, she developed instructional coaching models and processes, and facilitated the team’s learning, implementation, and evaluation. Mrs. Smith has overseen New Teacher Induction and Mentoring focused on the needs of entry level teachers. She is passionate about ensuring equitable learning opportunities and culturally responsive education.
