Measuring the Impact of Coaching on Teacher Retention
As schools continue to grapple with teacher shortages and high turnover rates, prioritizing meaningful and effective support that make teachers feel valued, respected, and confident is critical.
To measure the impact of e2L's job-embedded, competency-based coaching on teacher retention, we turned to third-party evaluator Learning Experience Design (LXD) Research to analyze teacher coaching and retention data from a large urban district partner during the 2017-2021 school years.
LXD's research ultimately shows that educators who receive coaching from e2L and earn progress badges & microcredentials as evidence of growth are significantly more likely to stay in their role than those that do not – meeting the standard for ESSA Level 2 Moderate Evidence.
