Kimberly Nesbit

Kimberly (Kim) is a Certified eGROWE Coach with 30 years of experience in education. She began her career in Los Angeles, California as a 5th grade teacher. While in Los Angeles, Kim held various positions including elementary and middle school teacher, mentor, Master Teacher for certification candidates, professional development facilitator, supervisor, Title I Program Coordinator and Bilingual Coordinator. Upon relocating to Houston, Texas, Kim continued her career in education as a Teacher Development Specialist with Houston Independent School District. In this role, she coached teachers in literacy and writing, designed and facilitated district level professional development, and developed elementary curriculum and district level assessments. As an educational coach, she developed innovative curriculum for hybrid learning designed to reduce achievement gaps. Kim believes all students should have equal and equitable access to the curriculum. She is passionate about culturally responsive pedagogy and maintaining diverse and inclusive learning environments for all students. Kim is committed to empowering educators to maintain a growth mindset while developing highly engaging student-centered lessons.
