Rachel Arcaute

Rachel is a facilitator for strategic planning. She brings 37 years of experience in addressing the needs of students in K-12 and beyond.

Rachel served as a high school math teacher before moving to Dean of Instruction, High School Principal, Area Director, Elementary Executive Director, Executive Director for High School Instruction, and Administrator Liaison for Higher Education. She was then tapped to lead as Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services for the McAllen Independent School District.

As Assistant Superintendent, Rachel’s work in the district included: implementing student-centered, inquiry-based learning; establishing the district’s early college high school within the community college campus; expansion of dual enrollment and Advanced Placement enrollment across the district high schools; increased license and certifications in the Career Technical Education program; college and career readiness initiatives; and launching a 1:1 mobile-learning device initiative.
