Sean Haley

 

Sean serves as a facilitator, trainer, and coach. With 17 years of experience in facilitation, training, coaching, and mentorship, Sean is known for increasing student achievement by bringing all stakeholders together to identify needs, leverage resources, and develop new systems for learning. He has a vast knowledge of working with a diverse student body, including students of poverty, and tapping into student strengths where they build confidence in their learning.

 

Sean has been sought by school districts and learning organizations to facilitate a change process leading to innovation in classroom instruction and processes. Through his talent in facilitation, Sean has partnered with educators and local communities to build measurable learner profiles.

Prior to partnering with e2L, Sean served in higher education as an Academic Officer. He was also a secondary school principal and Coordinator for the Texas High School Project. In addition, Sean has partnered with other leading organizations, including University of Houston, Huston-Tillotson University and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Bill Daggett’s International Center for Leadership in Education.

Career Highlights & Experience

  • Engage Learning, Inc. – Coach executive level leaders, principals and teachers for improved performance in various learning environments; facilitate visioning, strategic planning, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making processes.
  • International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE) Sr. Consultant – implemented College & Career Readiness reform initiatives nationwide; evaluated school quality; facilitated short-/long-term improvement planning.
  • Institute for Public School Initiatives (IPSI) Consultant – co-developed the inaugural Quality Framework used by Texas Charter School Association (TCSA) member schools; facilitated charter leader consensus building.
  • Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Consultant – assisted in implementing national and statewide college and career readiness initiatives; community and business stakeholder engagement in Austin and Houston.
  • National Cares Mentoring Movement Consultant – co-led design of a multi-tiered STEM mentoring model designed to engage secondary students with college students, and adults from STEM disciplines.
  • Texas Charter School Association (TCSA) – provided training (i.e., Education Plan) to aspiring charter managers/leaders; managed consultants who provided training on various topics to aspiring charter leaders.
