Melissa is a go-getter with a positive attitude. As a self-starter with a great deal of initiative, her greatest asset is that she loves kids! She enjoy working with others as a way to help students succeed, while building quality relationships with coworkers and peers. She has a zest for education that she loves to share with others!
Over the span of the last 22 years, Melissa has worked as a 2nd and 5th grade teacher, Assistant Principal, and most recently Associate Principal. She has worked in 4 different districts across the state of Texas, including multiple Title 1 and bilingual schools. Melissa has a great deal of experience leading staff through collaborative change: disaggregating and analyzing school data, leading PLCs, and making data-informed decisions to improve classroom instruction.
