Who we serve · Principals & Assistant Principals

Get into classrooms. Get the write-up done. Get back to your teachers.

The walkthrough takes ten minutes, and the write-up takes the evening. engage2learn coaches alongside principals and assistant principals on walkthroughs, feedback and the routines that keep teachers, and GroweLab drafts the write-up so you can get back to the building.

What’s on your desk

Most days, the fires come before the classrooms.

A principal leads a whole building and is pulled out of classrooms all day. Here is what we hear, and what comes off the desk.

On the principal’s desk

  • Fires pull you out of classrooms before you get in.

A week rebuilt around walkthroughs, with Leadership Skill Development.

  • Writing up a walkthrough takes too long to be worth it.

Smart Responses in GroweLab draft the write-up in 90 seconds.

  • You and your coaches each run your own system.

One shared place for walkthroughs, coaching and feedback.

  • Another platform from the district.

Onboarding for principals takes about 30 minutes.

In their words

Principals on building it together.

This is not top-down. It’s building together, collective ownership, and unity, looking at it from the perspective of student success. The endgame is the student.

FAQ

Questions leaders ask.

Who is engage2learn, and how is it different from a vendor who sells one piece?

engage2learn is one partner that runs the whole cycle of educator effectiveness itself: diagnose, design, coach, and connect to community. Most districts buy those pieces from several vendors; with one partner, the assessment, the plan and the coaching all aim at the same educator skills, and your leadership team works with one team rather than several.

What does the first conversation involve?

The first conversation is about the student-outcome gap you want to close and what you have already tried. There is no pitch deck. We listen, ask what your data and your schools are showing, and suggest where to start, often with an assessment, because the assessment comes first.

How do we know it is working this year?

Classroom practice is tracked in GroweLab as it improves. Walkthroughs, coaching cycles and educator growth show up during the year, by school, so progress is visible long before the end-of-year results.

How much time does this take from a full week?

Less than it gives back. Coaching is built around the week you already have, onboarding to GroweLab takes principals about 30 minutes, and Smart Responses draft a walkthrough write-up in 90 seconds for you to review.
