She has facilitated district training and design training sessions for the districts she serves. She has created a variety of resources in e2L, which include training units, learning units, videos, framework-specific resources and teacher tools.
Sonia believes that the best way to make a lasting impact on our future is through education, and she is passionate about changing the present culture of education. She is an advocate for active learning and life ready skills, as these are imperative to growing a population of learners who can meet the demands of a continually evolving workforce.
She has 9 years of teaching experience at Eagle Pass ISD where she served a diverse population of students which included ELL/ LEP, 504, Special Education, At-Risk, and GT students. She has taught and written curriculum in 9th -12th grade science. Her experience includes 3 years of e2L framework implementation. One of her proudest achievements is the collaborative and student-centered culture that developed in her classroom through the implementation of the e2L model.
